Personal License
A certified representative from a province other than Quebec or from a Canadian territory seeking to act as a representative in the Insurance of Persons or Group insurance of Persons Sectors or one of their sector classes in Québec is exempt from :
The training determined by the Canadian Insurance Services Regulatory Organizations and delivered by a person or company accredited under the agreement entered into for that purpose with the Authority with the exception of the Ethics and Professional Practice (Civil Code) course;
Of the prescribed examinations, except the examination 01-111 Develop an ethical professional practice, in compliance with the rules governing the insurance of persons sector (pdf - 130 KB)
The employer of a certified representative from a province other than Quebec or a Canadian territory must submit an Application for Authorization of Probationary Period – Applicants outside Québec
After probation period is completed…the agent will receive instructions for applying for a representative certificate.
