Sales and services are deemed to be “out-of-jurisdiction” when an advisor

makes the sale or provides the service to a client in a jurisdiction where the advisor is not licensed, be it a Canadian province or territory or another country.

An “out-of-jurisdiction” sale or service can happen in person or remotely via technology such as videoconferencing.

iA has put together a pdf examining the various sales and service scenarios and what is allowed and not allowed in each.
