Bluesun Advisor has two options for reporting: Quick Reports or DataMine reports.
QUICK REPORTS (#2 as illustrated in the image below)
To access the Quick Reports, from your Dashboard left hand menu, click on the REPORTS (1) menu option as shown below. You will see the 3 Quick Reports (2) appear to the right. These reports are not editable.
In the Mill (captures policies with a status of pending, issued and approved)
Placed Cases - (captures policies with a status of 'Inforce')
Written Cases - (captures ALL statuses)
Select the report you wish to view and in this example, we have chosen Placed Cases
Now you have the option as to the time frame of the report you wish to see as shown below. Once you select the Date Range, the report will automatically run and download as a PDF for your to open and view.
If the Quick Reports are not detailed enough or you wish to run a specific timeframe, or see a specific carrier only etc. You have the ability to create your own 'on demand' reports using the customize/DataMine reporting option. This is especially helpful for corporations and AGAs with advisors reporting to them.
CUSTOMIZED (DATAMINE) REPORTING (#3 as illustrated in the image below)
DataMine (3) is a single link that will take you to the list of reports that you can select and generate after choosing certain parameters.
Please note the "Batched Reports" section, is not applicable.
1.) Broker Paid Compensation Combined (commissions reporting)
Please note the FYC amounts in these reports are ballpark/estimate amounts only. If you need FYC information to reconcile deposits and payments, you will need to obtain your commission statements for your life/health business direct from the insurance carrier websites. You can refer to this HELP article for assistance.
2.) In the Mill Report (captures policies with any 'in the mill' status you wish, you choose)
3.) Pending Case Requirements (all outstanding requirements)
4.) Placed Cases Report (settled business)
5.) Written Cases Report (shows all statuses on any business submitted to IDC WIN)
Once you have chosen the customized (DataMine) under Reports by selecting CLICK HERE, you will be presented with the DataMine reports menu, select COMMISSIONS. You can now select from the 5 template reports as shown below. Choose the report you wish to run.
In the example below, the Written Cases Report has been chosen. There are numerous criteria you can pick and choose from to personalize your reports.
**Please note that any report reflecting a FYC (First Year Commission) column is strictly a ballpark/estimate FYC amount. You should not use this reporting for reconciliation purposes.**
